Licensed through the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services

The MHSB program helps with increasing basic independent living skills which prevent hospitalization, reduce homelessness or isolation from social support as a result of conflicts with family or community. 

Program Services Adults ages 21 years and older

Our Case Managers are highly skilled to assist individuals with:

  • Person Centered Treatment Planning

  • Linking to Community Resources

  • Problem Solving Skills

  • Medication Management

  • Money Management

  • Budgeting Assistance

  • Employment

  • Advocating for the individuals at Doctors Offices

  • Decrease symptoms for individuals with Mental Illness through active support throughout the community

  • Much More

Who is Eligible?

Meet at least 2 of the following criteria on an ongoing basis:

  • Has a Mental Health Illness diagnosed by a psychiatrist that results in significant functional impairment

  • At least one psychiatric hospitalization

  • Exhibits inappropriate behavior that needs frequent interventions by outside services

  • Exhibits difficulty in cognitive ability to such a degree that the individual is unable to recognize danger

  • Requires help with basic living skills

  • Difficulty establishing or maintaining normal Interpersonal relationships
